Review: Fallen Too Far by Abbi Glines

4.5 Review
Goodreads Summary:

To want what you’re not supposed to have…

She is only nineteen.

She is his new stepfather’s daughter.

She is still naïve and innocent due to spending the last three years taking care of her sick mother.

But for twenty-four year old Rush Finlay, she is the only thing that has ever been off limits. His famous father’s guilt money, his mother’s desperation to win his love, and his charm are the three reasons he has never been told no.

Blaire Wynn left her small farmhouse in Alabama, after her mother passed away, to move in with her father and his new wife in their sprawling beach house along the Florida gulf coast. She isn’t prepared for the lifestyle change and she knows she’ll never fit into this world. Then there is her sexy stepbrother who her father leaves her with for the summer while he runs off to Paris with his wife. Rush is as spoiled as he is gorgeous. He is also getting under her skin. She knows he is anything but good for her and that he’ll never be faithful to anyone. He is jaded and has secrets Blaire knows she may never uncover but even knowing all of that…

Blaire just may have fallen too far.

My Thoughts:

4.5

What?!?!?!  No, You’re Kidding Me Right!!!!!  I have start out by saying I freaking HATE cliffhangers—especially when I have to wait till March for the next!!!!

Okay—I’m done with my rant….all that being said….I am officially not an Abbi Glines virgin anymore and I’m in love with her writing!  She nailed this book!  I am completely impressed with her complex storyline; character development and overall feel of this book!  I admit—I DID NOT PUT THIS BOOK DOWN—and read it in a few hours.

I fell in love with Blaire the moment she pulled out her gun with her give-me-no-shit attitude.  The amount of growing up she had to do at such a young age was so admirable.  I loved her work ethic and her tenacity.

To say I was immediately in love with Rush—would be a lie. He’s a dog in heat—literally.  I kept thinking Ewwwww…gross!  But as the story unfolded I saw the other side of Rush that made me fall hard—No wonder Blair couldn’t resist.

The chemistry between these two was hot and sizzling.  That first kiss…smoked up my kindle!

“You’re….you’re perfect and untouched.  And in the end you would never forgive me.”

Boy did I not understand the true meaning of these strong words.  The slap in the face I felt from this still stings!  Abbi did a great job hiding this and keeping it bottled up until just the right moment---then BOOM!!!

“Everyone always said that love was enough.  It wasn’t.  Not when your soul is shattered.”

Overall, wonderful MUST READ BOOK!  Highly recommended.

DO NOT READ IF YOU DON’T WANT SPOILERS!!  I HAD TO EXPRESS THIS PART OF THE STORY!!!!!!!! LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS OF SPOILERS HERE:

I had to continue with this review, but in trying not to put any spoilers in the first part….was hard.  Here are my other feelings.

Okay—I so….thought there would be some sort of love triangle or square!  With all those hot men!! Come on!!!  Grant, Woods, Rush, Cain!!  Only a little bit of shoving and pushing!! I wanted more!!!!!!!!

I was hoping to explore more of the connection with Woods and Blaire.  I amen OMG—just a date or something to get my hooks in him!  There is so much to him he could have his own book!

While I understand Nan had a rough time growing up, damn…she’s a total bitch and I have a hard time finding one redeeming quality about her!  I’m sure I’ll learn more about her in the next book, but as of now…. I HATE HER!!!

And the twist and turns at the end! Holy Shit!  I tried to hold on to my pants, but I think I lost them along the way!  There are still sooooo many questions!!!
