I saw the cover of this book and decided that it was going to be a sweet story about first love set in the countryside. I have now learnt not to judge a book by it’s cover.
This is a romantic story about young love but is also full of mind blowing sex, I was not expecting it and it was hot! Turned out to be a very shmexy read.
Sky has been with her boyfriend for several years and when she receives a pxt message from someone with photos of her boyfriend cheating on her with two girls she decides to go on a road trip to the beach and meet up with friends. Sky has a slight car accident along the way, ends up in a field and a car that won’t start. This is where her life is about to change paths.
Ford lives in an apartment above a repair garage business that his father owns. His mother is an alcoholic and left them years ago. He comes from a small town and has a lot of heartache in his past. Ford offers to help Sky out of her plight and gives her a ride back to the repair garage. There is instant attraction between the two of them.
Sky is all things sweet and Ford is a naughty boy. He wants her and she can't deny that she wants him. Her car will be ready in a day or so and she is stuck in the middle of nowhere so why not have some fun together? This is a one off thing right?
Ford completely consumes and seduces Sky with his hot sexiness and rocking body. He is very experienced in how to please a woman and completely opens Sky up to a world she hadn't known existed with her previous relationship. Ford has a way with words and it is freaking hot!
They enjoy a couple of hot steamy nights together before Sky sets off to meet up with her friends at the beach. I think they are surprised at the depth of feelings between them in such a short time. Nothing in Ford's life has ever been easy though. When past decisions come back to interrupt their bliss, the reality of their different lives catches up with them and they have to eventually part ways.
Ford has a lot to deal with on the home front but he just can't stop thinking of Sky and what she has come to mean to him in such a short time.
Can two people with such different backgrounds really be together? Will Ford figure out that he has to put his needs first for a change and stop taking responsibility for other people's decisions.
I really enjoyed this. It has all the components that make a great read: a love story, LOTS of hot sex with a very dominant male and just for good measure a psychotic ex-girlfriend to stir things up.
