Cora Lewis is a whole lot of fun, and she knows how to keep her tattooed bad boy friends in line. But all that flash and sass hide the fact that she’s never gotten over the way her first love broke her heart. Now she has a plan to make sure that never happens again: She’s only going to fall in love with someone perfect.

Rome Archer is as far from perfect as a man can be. He’s stubborn and rigid, he’s bossy and has come back from his final tour of duty fundamentally broken. Rome’s used to filling a role: big brother, doting son, super soldier; and now none of these fit anymore. Now he’s just a man trying to figure out what to do with the rest of his life while keeping the demons of war and loss at bay. He would have been glad to suffer it alone, until Cora comes sweeping into his life and becomes the only color on his bleak horizon.

Perfect isn’t in the cards for these two, but imperfect might just last forever . . .

Cora is holding out for Mr. Perfect.

Rome is just trying to find his place in the world post-war.

Neither saw the other coming and when they collide....it is intense!

Cora had her heart broken years ago and believes that loving someone that way again would break her beyond repair. So, she has decided to hold out for someone safe and boring. Someone that she deems as Mr. Perfect. Little does she know that fate has other plans for her and is about to throw a huge wrench into her plans for holding out for the impossible.

Rome is struggling. Things have changed so much for him since he was home the last time and he doesn't know where he fits anymore. And to say it has put him in a foul mood is an understatement. He is taking his unrest out on those closest to him by being a first class jerk. Or as Cora so lovingly named him, Captain No-Fun!

These two are as opposite as opposites can be. Rome has Cora thinking about a detour on her search for that perfect guy might not be so bad. And Cora helps Rome forget the bad for a little while. But what begins as something simple for these two quickly turns into something more. They are faced with a HUGE complication that neither was prepared for. Couple that with Rome's PTSD and Cora's unwillingness to love again, and these two don't stand a chance.

Or do they? You are just gonna have to read their story to see how things end for them!

I really love this series!! It had been a while since I read Jet, but the characters are ones that stay with you that you can pick up the next book and it was like you never left them. It is nice that each book can be a stand alone read but for those that choose to read each book, it is like coming home to old friends. Not only do you get Rome and Cora's story in this book, but you still get more of all those other characters you have come to know and love. THIS is how a series should be done!!

Can't wait for the next book!

I’m supposed to share interesting details about myself so that my readers get to know me so here we go in no particular order: I’m an natural redhead even though I haven’t seen my real hair color in years, I’m a big fan of tattoos and have a half sleeve on either arm and various other pieces all over the place, I’ve been in the bar industry since I was in college and it has always offered interesting insight into how men and women interact with each other, I have 3 dogs that are all crazy, I live in Colorado and love the snow, I love music and in all reality wish I could be a rock star not a writer or a bartender but I have zero talent so there is that.

I love to write, love to read and all I’m interested in is a good story with interesting characters that make the reader feel something.
