The fourth part in the New York Times bestselling series, The Blackstone Affair: A bright beginning for two damaged souls fighting for their hard-won love, and the promise of a new hope to secure their happily ever after.

Fresh from an idyllic honeymoon along the Italian coast, the Blackstones prepare for the birth of their precious baby and the challenges of settling into a new home. But things get complicated when specters from the past reappear to threaten the very foundation of their relationship. Ethan and Brynne will have to fight harder than ever for each other. Rare and Precious Things is the story of two people who both need the other in order to be complete, but learn just how "rare" their brand of love is when they have to risk everything in order to hold onto it.

This was definitely one of my highly anticipated reads of 2014 and the wait was worth it.

Ethan and Brynne are now married and expecting their baby.  We join them on their loved up honeymoon and Mr Blackstone does not let us down in the steamy sex factor.  He is so alpha male and dominant and I love that about him.

This couple are so endearing and have no hesitation in showing how much they love each other.  Ethan and Brynne have settled into being a married couple now, after only knowing each other for a matter of months.  Brynne is embracing her pregnancy and so is Ethan, reading up on his ‘peaches’ each week.

Ethan is still dealing with his nightmares and PTSD, Brynne is determined to help and support him through this.  Just when everything finally seems to be falling into place with these two a reminder from Brynne's past comes out of the wood work and they find themselves in a no win situation.  They really lean on each other a lot and their faith in each other strengthens as they deal with a lot of stressful situations.

These two have really embraced their new life together and everything that comes along with it.  Ethan is so sweet and endearing, very different from the man we met at the beginning of this series.  Brynne has become a lot more assertive and Ethan is just in awe of her strength.

These two as parents is just so heart warming and Ethan is so damn cute with baby Blackstone.

I really loved being back in the Blackstone family and hope there will be more to come.

I give this 4 stars
