Review: Hold on Tight by Abbi Glines

Six years ago, Dewayne Falco's life changed. He lost someone he never expected to lose. Resigned to punish himself for something he felt he could have prevented, he goes through life without getting too close to anyone.

What he didn't expect was for the girl across the street to move back home and remind him of what they both lost: Dewayne's younger brother Dustin. However, when a miniature version of Dustin opens the door to greet him, Dewayne realizes he might not have lost everything after all.

Sienna Roy loved Dustin Falco most of her life. He was the boy next door, the high school basketball star and her best friend. But when his life was cut short, she realized he left a part of himself behind.

Now, she's back in Sea Breeze, thankful to have a home for her and Dustin's son, but not sure if she can ever forgive the people across the street who abandoned her when she needed them the most — The Falcos.

Betrayal, lies, and forbidden attraction might end Dewayne and Sienna's story before it's even begun.

I’m an Abbi Glines book fanatic so on a day where were lots of new book releases, this was on the top of my list.  Abbi is an author that gives her readers what they more and more.  She writes books that aren’t too lengthy and releases several each year.  She’s a writing machine!
This is the last in the Sea Breeze series and is about DeWayne Falco, the last guy in the group who is still out there having fun with many girls and laughing at his pussy whipped friends.  The only time he ever felt anything close to love was in high school and the girl ended up with his younger brother Dustin.  When Dustin tragically died, his girlfriend Sienna left town and never returned.
Six years later and Sienna is back in Sea Breeze, living across the street from the Falco family.  She is not alone though, with her is her six year old son Micah.  She discovered she was pregnant with Dustin’s baby and was sent to live with an Aunt.  Despite her attempts to stay in touch with the Falco’s for the first two years of Micah’s life, she never heard back from them.  Now it will become something that can’t be ignored. When Dewayne lays eyes on them he is completely shocked to find out about Micah’s existence and the emotions he felt for Sienna as a teenager come flooding back to him.
To have a living piece of his late brother in his life is just incomprehensible and the bond they quickly develop is just heart warming J  Micah is a very wise young boy and as he discovers he has a new family he didn’t know about, you will be completely pulled into this emotionally charged story.
Sienna and DeWayne have this ‘thing’ between them that they have had since the were teens and DeWayne is trying to deal with all these new feelings. It is not just attraction though, he has an overwhelming need to protect and look after Sienna and Micah.  Being with them is everything he never knew he ever wanted for his life.  Maybe this is who he is supposed to be and he has just been treading water these past six years.
I absolutely loved this story and really feel like this has now come full circle but of course I want more still, fingers crossed that one day we might get some wedding/baby novellas from Sea Breeze one day.
I give this 4 stars
