Review: You'll Think Of Me by Lucia Franco

Add to Goodreads:

Luke Jackson.

With his thick southern drawl and seductive charm, Luke is the country boy everyone adores. He has his future mapped out, but his plans with Olivia are suddenly derailed when she makes a decision that blindsides him, changing the path they both envisioned.

As Luke struggles to keep everything in check during a difficult time in his life, he must put his trust in the one person who broke it to begin with. The last time they saw each other, Olivia busted his heart wide open, turning him into the man he is today.

When Olivia returns to her roots, just like Luke said she would, he is shocked for more reasons than one. Nine years have passed since they've seen each other, and when their roads collide unexpectedly, Luke can only push his worry and misgivings away for so long.

Things are different now—they are strangers—and the rope that once bound Olivia's heart to South Fork, Georgia is pulling her back in, forcing her to remember how it used to be all those years ago.

Who can resist a second chance love story, these are my favorite storylines to read in a romance novel.
Olivia and Luke are childhood sweethearts.  They live in a small country town in the South.  They grew up next door to each other and went through school together.  Olivia has dreams of leaving their town and moving to a city to attend medical school to pursue a career.  Luke is content with living in South Fork and thinks that Olivia belongs there with him.
"This is where your heart is, where your friends and family are.  It's Your home.  You're not going to get much better than this." - Luke
Olivia is torn between being with the young man who has her heart and her desire to see the world outside of her small town.  She decides to take that leap and leave.  A long distance relationship will have to suffice for now, they love each other enough to make it work don't they?  Luke is absolutely devastated with her decision.  It is heart wrenching for both of them, they love each other so much and the thought of not being together is tearing them up inside.
"You won't ever find what we have with anyone else.  What we have is real and it only happens once in a lifetime" - Luke
Fast forward nearly 10 years later and Olivia has indeed become what she wanted to be.  She has recently moved back from New York to Savannah, close enough to South Fork to see her folks but far enough away to make a new life for herself working at the local medical centre.  After trying to keep in touch with Luke she eventually gave up and has not seen him since she left.  He now has his own successful career and she has decided that this is the way it should be.  A little bit of her heart will always have a place with him but she needs to move on.
Enter Nate, the gorgeous construction worker who she meets and for the first time since Luke she feels quite lusty about another man.  Nate pursues Olivia relentlessly and he is the most sweetest, patient guy.  He will do anything for her and they are great together.
When Luke returns to South Fork because of a family issue he learns that Olivia is back in the South.  As soon as he sees her, all those feelings and memories he has of her come flooding back, he never stopped loving his 'whiskey girl.'  Olivia is stunned to come face to face with Luke after all this time.  She has now given a piece of her heart to Nate but not all of it.  The poor girl is so conflicted about what she is thinking and feeling.
I was feeling the same way as Olivia, I loved what she had with Luke when she was young but then I just loved what she had with Nate too.  I liked both men and I knew at some stage she would have to choose and either way someone would be hurt.
I was completely drawn in to this beautifully told love story.
I give this 4 stars
