could say this can be read as a stand alone but because I loved the first book
in the series so much I really recommend you read it too. Everyone we came to know and love from See
You Next Tuesday is in this story. Having said that, it is not necessary to
have read it first.
Rhett is one of those guys who tries to block out pain and
regret with meaningless sex with women. He
has no trouble finding willing ladies, he exudes sexual pheromones. He never
double dips though, that could lead to a woman developing feelings for him,
trying to get him to open up and a second round in the sack with him.
Reece Kelly is in Vegas for a weekend away and has a chance
meeting with Rhett at a local bar. She seems to have been plucked from the sky
and placed into Rhett's line of sight.
She is everything he is attracted to in a girl. Reece has him figured
out though and she is not interested in being one of his conquests.
He is complete drawn to her, everything about her. These two just click and for the first time in
Rhett's life, since Liz, he has a
friendship with a girl that is non sexual.
Just being around Reece makes him feel more alive than he ever has. There clearly is a mutual growing attraction
between these two. What I love about it
is the slow build, they both need to get to a place in their lives and hearts
for this to have any chance of working between them.
Reece is hiding something though and when she reveals it all
to Rhett he has a big decision to make that will completely change his life in
every way. Reece has her own crap to
deal with and some tough decisions to make but if everything works out the way
she wants it to, there could be an amazing future ahead for both of them.
I loved getting to know Rhett a lot more and in some ways he
reminded me a lot of Dane from the Emerge series by this author. This was a really sweet story about finding
the missing piece to your puzzle, your perfect little remedy.
I give this four stars.

And if you do jump on—gyrating and grinding in what you’re just certain is some mystical, “He’s never had it so good before” kind of way, and it doesn’t work—don’t blame anyone but yourself. Who was really trying to manipulate who?
